A gate is the first thing a visitor meets. A laser-cut panel lets it say something: a pattern, a texture, a hint of what is behind it, while keeping the gate secure and solid.
Here is how a laser-cut gate panel goes from idea to installed.
Geometric, botanical, organic or a custom motif. Think about privacy too: denser patterns screen the view, open patterns let light and air through. Browse patterns on this site, then adapt one to your property.
Most gate panels are cut from mild steel or aluminium. Mild steel is strong and rigid; aluminium is lighter and naturally corrosion resistant. Match the material to the gate size, exposure and how it opens. Our guide to choosing a decorative screen material goes deeper.
The pattern becomes a clean vector file for cutting. Thin bridges and very fine features need care, because the panel must stay strong. See our technical guide on preparing artwork for CNC cutting.
Laser cutting follows the file precisely, producing crisp edges and repeatable detail. Because it is a CNC process, a pattern that suits one gate can be repeated across matching pedestrian gates, side panels and fencing.
This is where the gate gets its character. The same material can be supplied:
Pick the finish with the environment in mind. Outdoor panels need protection.
Panels are welded or fixed into a gate frame, with hinges, locks and automation as required. Plan these details with your installer early, so the panel sizes suit the frame.
Off-the-shelf gates limit you to what is already made. RhinoWorks manufactures in-house, so you can choose your pattern, size and finish, and the finish choice (raw, primed or powder coated) stays flexible. For fabrication detail, see RhinoWorks.
